Secure locking tote transportation for less than truck load shipments. A secure locking plastic tape tote (accommodates 200 tapes or drives) is shipped to your site. Each tote includes four 50 pack shipping boxes, removal straps, packing material, two locks, and two tie bands along with return shipping information. Tub dimensions are 28” (L) x 20 ½ (W) x 14 ½ (H) and weigh approximately 125 lbs each when fully loaded.

Upon return shipment to our secure facility, Archive Data will confirm the receipt by sending a photograph of the unbroken band. You will then receive a full audit of the contents of each tote.

A two-driver team using a dedicated truck with bonded and insured Archive Data Solutions personnel is transported non-stop, door-to-door service with no cross docking. Trucks are locked, banded, and GPS enabled. Banded serial number will be provided to customer at pickup and a photograph of the unbroken band will be emailed to the customer upon arrival at our secure facility. Drivers check in with the customer at predetermined intervals during transport. Cargo is under constant surveillance by Archive Data Solutions personnel. No contract or outsourced labor is involved.

Similar to our White Glove Transport, however the transportation is secured for us by an approved third-party logistics company. Cargo items are transported non-stop, point-to-point with no cross docking. Trucks are locked or banded.

Additional monitoring service is available whereby Archive Data Solutions employees monitor the transport with GPS enabled equipment.

• View the health of all backup media within your rotation. The service will alert you to any suspect media so that you can remove it for further, off-line testing.
• View the health of the drives to ensure that each drive is performing at or above manufacturers’ recommended standards.
• Monitor your actual throughput compared to expected throughput.

• Set your own alerts. Send an alert to up to five email addresses such as: hard write errors occur, or when a specifiec number of soft errors have occurred, a drive stops responding, and many more. Set your own alerts and take control of your SAN.
• Instantly view useful stats such as the firmware version of every drive in your library, the volser or barcode number of the tape currently in each drive, the utilization and occupancy rates for each drive across your specified range of time, number of loads for a given tape by volser, as well as read and write statistics for each drive or tape, and much more.

• Archive Verification Service – The Archive Verification Service allows you to provide full audits of all selected tapes to ensure readability. The service provides clear documentation of the verification audits for your regulatory compliance needs or service level agreements. The verification process occurs during library down-time and is automated for you by the RVA.
  The Archive Verification Service provides a policy-based approach to verify system capability to read archived tape media over the course of its effective life. The service validates the readability of archived media. The validation process automatically loads media, verifies data can be read and allows for a verification schedule on user-defined policies. The technology is deployed out-of-band to the library controller and uses dedicated or shared drive(s) for archive verification. Reporting and alerting is automated and will convey the success or failure of tape media readability.
• Library Overview Analysis – Many storage administrators see issues with backups continuing to take longer—failures occur, tapes are continually replaced, yet there isn’t a good understanding of the root cause. Meanwhile, storage needs are growing as budgets shrink.
  The Library Overview Analysis Service provides comprehensive analytics on the health, performance and utilization of your tape library system. Delivered via a web portal, you will gain insight into the root causes of data errors, incomplete backups, system bottlenecks, and frequent component failure. Allowing you to maximize the investment of your current tape system while minimizing the risk to corporate data, you can identify low performing devices, under- or over-utilized assets, and degrading components. This information provides major cost savings through reductions in capital expenditures, ongoing maintenance, and premature device wear.
• Tape Environment Analysis – Tape Environment Analysis is a detailed assessment of your current backup environment. Highly experienced storage engineers provide a deep analysis of your tape media and drive performance—even checking the health of each individual tape. Insight into potential cost savings, maximization of performance and identifying defective or degrading tape drives and media is provided. Recommendations are extensive and include: potential cost reductions, drive repair, media removal, library service, backup application configuration, and storage network configuration. All information is delivered in a detailed report to help maximize existing backup resources, avoid unnecessary expenditures on equipment, save time, meet compliance requirements and reduce the risk of lost data.
• Library Monitoring & Alerts – Offers remote monitoring and support of tape systems. Fujifilm’s Library Monitoring and Alerts Service provides system-wide visibility by tracking a wide range of tape library parameters and providing daily reports on all significant operational events. Timely insight into potentially degrading conditions allows you to take immediate, corrective action to minimize risk to corporate data while reducing costs associated with troubleshooting issues and recovering from failed backups.
